Bright Mind Development Initiative (BMDI) is a community-focused organisation dedicated to supporting children and young people through education, mentorship, skills development, environmental awareness and community outreach.
We believe that every young person deserves access to opportunities that can strengthen their confidence, develop their abilities and help them contribute positively to their communities.
Through practical community initiatives and partnerships, we aim to respond to local needs and create meaningful opportunities for young people to learn, grow and thrive.
Our first community project, completed in September 2026, provided educational materials to students and included a tree-planting and environmental awareness activity in partnership with Rotary Club of Sapele Gateway.
This is only the beginning.

4. OUR PROGRAMS
📚 Educational Support
We support children and young people through access to essential learning materials, educational resources and initiatives that encourage participation in education and personal development.
🌱 Community & Environmental Outreach
We organise community initiatives that encourage positive participation, environmental awareness and responsibility while addressing needs within local communities.
🤝 Mentorship & Leadership Development
We aim to provide young people with positive guidance, encouragement and opportunities to develop confidence, leadership skills,
💡 Skills Development
We support young people in developing practical and transferable skills that can contribute to personal development, employment, entrepreneurship and greater independence.
5. Our First Project – Completed September 2026
In September 2026, Bright Mind Development Initiative successfully completed its first community outreach project, supporting students with essential educational materials while promoting environmental awareness and community participation.
The project was delivered in partnership with Rotary Club of Sapele Gateway and brought together educational support and environmental action.

The project was designed to support students with essential learning materials while encouraging education, community participation and responsibility for the environment.
As part of the initiative, tree planting was also undertaken to promote environmental awareness and encourage young people to take an active role in caring for their communities.

7. Our Founder
Serorie Egigba
Founder & Director
Bright Mind Development Initiative was founded by Serorie Egigba, a nonprofit organisation dedicated to empowering children and young people through education, mentorship and community support.
We believe every child deserves access to opportunities and the tools they need to learn, grow and succeed.
The initiative was inspired by his mother, Felicia “Afele Joe” Egigba, whose values of caring for children, promoting education and creating opportunities continue to influence the work of Bright Mind Development Initiative.
